This afternoon I was looking at the word dividend. The topic was introduced in an article that was speaking about investors and what they expected from a company.  A simple definition for this word is; something extra or a bonus.  I began to  ponder about the effort that we put forth into our life's journey.  The hard work, along with the sweat and tears that went into the years that created who we are, do pay a dividend of sorts.  Experience and wisdom are a huge byproduct of our life's special compensation.  If you ask someone who is older, they may reflect on the days when their younger body and mind operated on a different speed.  However, I feel a lot people will quickly veer towards the fact that they would not trade in what they have in personal earned dividends through the experiences that has brought them to where they are today.  Although you may hear about this word related to the banking or finance genre, never forget that there are other definitions.  One of the benefits of wisdom is that one can make better and more informed decisions in what comes before them.   Utilize what you have learned to create the environment you want to thrive in.  Allow your dividends to work for you, as you continue to invest in yourself.  In the end, this works just like in the finance world, your return on investment will yield great results if you stick to your plan.
